An Intro to Financing and Budgeting for Freelancers

Posted on March 9, 2021March 8, 2021 by Stephanie Cooke

One of the most daunting parts of being an adult is having to properly manage your money. When you’re freelancing, that task can become even more daunting. In this panel, you’ll learn about budgets, debt, and what the heck TFSAs* and RRSPs* are. We’ll also discuss some common investment strategies to make the most of your money.

Join Michelle Parker as they lead us through a talk on how to better understand our money and finances. Moderated by Stephanie Cooke.

NOTE: While Michelle is passionate about finances, keep in mind that this is merely meant to help give you an introduction to money management and a general idea of some common practices and investment strategies. If you’re unsure when it comes to your finances, please consult a professional to discuss things further and seek their guidance.

*TSFAs (Tax Free Savings Account) and RRSPs (Registered Retirement Savings Plan) are Canada-specific but you can still find things similar to them within your own country
